Board of Directors

Rob Tucci, Board Observer 

Mr. Tucci has been active in early stage investing since 2007. He has been a Managing Director of the Texas Halo Fund (THF) series since 2012 and formerly Chair, Life Sciences at the Houston Angel Network for five years. He oversees THF’s national Life Science investment portfolio, as well as supporting the Houston Life Science eco-system. He is a regular judge, panelist and speaker at various university and venture capital events. 

He is also an entrepreneur as founder of Yardley Group, LLC, an active chemical development and export business serving the metals mining industry in South America. He also serves on the Board of Directors and as a Board Observer for many startup life science companies.

Mr. Tucci holds degrees in chemistry and business and resides in Houston with his physician wife.

Brad Miller, Board Member

Mr. Miller is EVP of Investment and Brand at Ambassador Enterprises. Ambassador is a Legacy-Minded Private Equity firm located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ambassador is an active investor primarily of operating companies with an eye toward optimizing and growing for lasting positive impact. Together, Ambassador has interest in more than 40 affiliate companies in the areas of Building Materials, Recreation, Marine, Engineered Solutions, and Technology, including life sciences.

Mr. Miller received a B.A. from Michigan State University, his MBA from Indiana University, and additional Executive Education from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

Michael Trotta, Board Member

Mr. Trotta’s expertise is in M&A transactions. In his career, he has consummated over 35 transactions involving over 80 entities since 1983, including his highest transaction of $70 million. All of the investments fell into one of the following categories in the areas of light manufacturing, industrial distribution, commercial real estate and live events production. He has also managed finances for a number of companies, including Theratome.

Furthermore, Mr. Trotta has always been an active and participative investor, frequently at the day-to-day level. His approach has always been to improve, grow and professionalize organizations to drive value. Most of his hold times have been in the three to six-year range.

Mr. Trotta attended both Ball State University (Muncie, Indiana) and Indiana University (Bloomington, Indiana).
